Desktop Shipping
For shippers with a preference for locally installed software or special requirements like high volume or complex routing, ABOL Software offers two types of products, AMX and SI. Both products are based on Microsoft™ technology such as SQL Server and the .net development languages.
AMX is the traditional shipping software that everyone is familiar with. It runs on a single PC with a local database, or can be setup with n-tier architecture on a dedicated server(s). Scan a bar code and read the weight from a scale are only some of the many features offered.

SI ( Shipping Interface) is the engine for all ABOL products, and can be licensed on a per server basis and be installed on a local server ( behind the firewall). It’s accessed via a web interface for setup and configuration and shipment related transations are api based.
The SI is designed for use with existing systems like warehouse or order management system. ABOL itself has delivered many custom shipping solutions, by wrapping the SI with a custom front end application to meet unique shipping requirements.
Since the SI is the core ABOL software engine, it supports all certified carriers, this includes domestic US carriers as well as many carrier around the globe.

Overview
Labeling
Carrier compliant labels printed from ABOL Manifest Systems may be customized to meet operational needs, including support for an integrated packing slip or pick list. Labels may be printed from both label printers and document printers. Individual labels may be printed from a shipping station and labels for identical pieces may be printed in batch.
Zone Skipping & Custom Routing
Our expertise in zone skipping (DHL Global Mail, FedEx SmartPost, USPS consolidation and all classes) and entry discounts for USPS mail make our systems and services an excellent choice for a creative distribution network.
Data Exchange
The integration of ABOL Manifest Systems with warehouse management systems and the pick-ticket process increases efficiencies and improves package visibility. Order information and tracking numbers are transferred between our systems and yours to create a seamless exchange of data. ABOL Data Management Services extend this integration to make tracking and reporting available through the Web.
Standards Compliance
ABOL maintains systems compliance with supported carriers for all systems and services, including rate, zone and coverage area updates. Our systems generate compliant labels, forms, reports and manifests including our ABOL 1.3 manifest format which is recognized throughout the industry, along with custom formats.

USPS
ABOL Manifest Systems provide the most comprehensive USPS manifesting available, including the paper-based Manifest Mailing System and eVS. eVS allows mailers to document and pay postage through electronic manifest files.
